Tennessee football: Week 4 SEC and top 25 picks and bets

What have I told you the last two weeks about the Mississippi State Bulldogs? Mike Leach is the most inconsistent coach in the sport, particularly when he’s in his first three to four years at a place. That’s what Tennessee football would’ve gotten with him.
Sure, MSU got robbed against the Memphis Tigers last week, but if that kickoff return hadn’t happened, Memphis might’ve scored on that drive, and they probably would’ve scored on their final drive rather than run out the clock. Now, after that heartbreaker, Leach has to get his team ready for SEC play.
On the other side, the LSU Tigers appear to have found themselves under Ed Orgeron. They dominated a Central Michigan Chippewas team 49-21, and they want revenge on Leach and MSU after what happened to open last year. Will playing for Orgeron’s job be enough to get this team a huge win on the road?
Prediction
Leach’s consistent inconsistency is why this pick is so obvious. MSU is back at home and underdogs. His offense has had some hits and misses, but in this game, they’ll hit everything. LSU will score enough for this one to hit the over, but the Bulldogs pull off the upset and get back on track for SEC play.
