Last week: Lost to Arkansas Razorbacks 20-10

Talk about a rough break for Jimbo Fisher. This was supposed to be Texas A&M’s year. Sure, they struggled with the Colorado Buffaloes, but playing that team on the road with a new quarterback was just a weird matchup, and it made sense that they would struggle a bit in that game.

Well, what was concerning about those struggles came to fruition last Saturday. In their first true test, they were flat-out dominated by Arkansas. Honestly, the game wasn’t even as close as it looked, and the offense appears to have some serious issues with Zach Calzada at quarterback. They’ve got to miss Kellen Mond.

This isn’t the team that blew out Tennessee football at the end of last year. Now, to be fair, A&M is the first team on here with a winning record that also beat a Power Five program. That’s why they are the first team in the tier we have just above the middle tier.

There is still plenty for this team to play for unless you think the Hogs will win out and clinch the west. A home game against Mississippi State should get them back on track, and they still have that major showdown with Alabama a week later. MSU and South Carolina come after Alabama, so no matter what, this team should be 6-2 at worst entering November.
