Tennessee football at Missouri: Five key Tigers to watch
6’5″ 214 pounds; Hometown: Daingerfield, Texas
We could name tons of Mizzou receivers who qualify for this spot here given the way they spread the ball around in the passing game. After all, the Tigers average over 323 passing yards a game but don’t have anybody who has gone over 200 receiving yards for the year.
They just have seven players who have gone over 100 yards on the year. Keke Chism is one of the guys who fits that mold. Another player will be later on this list. The other five are Tauskie Dove, Chance Luper, D’ionte Smith, Dominic Lovett and Javian Hester. By the way, Mookie Cooper has 95 yards receiving as a touchdown.
Nine different players have caught the 12 touchdown passes by Mizzou this year. Simply put, this team spreads the ball around, which will make this game difficult for Rocky Top. However, Chism is the biggest threat of all of them given his size, so he makes the list.
So far this year, Chism has 17 catches for a team-leading 181 yards and a touchdown. He is basically a tight end, and Eli Drinkwitz doesn’t use him enough. If Drinkwitz uses him properly in this game, Tennessee football has to be ready. Otherwise, the Vols don’t have any chance.
