After squeaking by and looking ugly in their first three wins, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish destroyed the Wisconsin Badgers and proved what they can do on both sides of the ball. Brian Kelly, like Sam Pittman, proved he is a coach Tennessee football also let slip away by becoming the all-time winningest Irish coach.

Now, at Notre Dame Stadium, Kelly gets to face his former school, where he coached when he was a candidate for the UT job. However, despite a dominant fourth quarter against a Big Ten team at a neutral site, his team is still an underdog once again, this time at home.

That speaks to what Luke Fickell is doing in his fifth year at Cincy. His team just dominated a Big Ten foe, beating the Indiana Hoosiers 38-24. That makes this a top 10 matchup with a Group of Five team, something you don’t see everyday.

Prediction

Notre Dame may have gotten 21 points non-offensively last week, but its offense alone still scored more than the Penn State Nittany Lions against Wisconsin’s defense. They’re being disrespected at home against Cincy, and as a result, they’ll pull off what shouldn’t even be an upset. However, these two elite defenses will make sure the game hits the under.
