In a few weeks, Tennessee football has to prepare to play both of these teams back to back. This is the other marquee game in the SEC this weekend. It’s another Nick Saban game against one of his assistants, his most notable and entertaining assistant ever, and at Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday, everybody will question if this is the game it finally happens.

Former Tennessee football coach Lane Kiffin is rolling with the Ole Miss Rebels. In his last outing, his offense put up 61 points, and he’s had a week off to prepare for this game. Add in the fact that he came closer to beating Bama last year than anybody else, and there’s a reason the Tide are only a 14.5-point favorite.

That sounds crazy to say only 14.5 points, but if you know Alabama’s history, it makes sense. Two weeks ago, they had a bad second half against another ranked team in Florida, so it’s difficult to say what will happen this Saturday.

Prediction

The memory of what happened last year and two weeks ago is fresh in everybody’s minds. Alabama had an effective bye last week and blew out the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. They’re back on track, so they’ll cover by getting out to a huge lead in the first half. However, take this insane over, as they’ll let Ole Miss score a lot in the second half once the game’s in hand.

Alabama: 52 Ole Miss: 35 (Alabama -14.5; Over 79)
