Everybody is talking about Ole Miss at Alabama and Arkansas at Georgia, but this is low-key a pretty big matchup as well. Mark Stoops’ Wildcats keep squeaking by, winning their last three games by one score each, but hey, they’re 4-0 with two wins over Power Five programs.

Now they get to host a tested Florida team at Kroger Field. This is the first time we get to see if UK is legitimate or if the Wildcats are the pretenders we all expect them to be given how they’ve looked recently. Regardless of what happens, we’ll have a much better read on them Saturday.

Florida rebounded from its Alabama loss with a strong second half against Tennessee football. They fell behind 14-10 and then scored 28 straight to win the game, including 21 in the second. Dan Mullen’s team has an incredible rushing attack, the best in the nation probably. However, Kentucky will be a true test for that.

Prediction

Ugly starts have been a problem for Florida. That’s an issue against a Kentucky team that plays great defense, particularly against the run. The Gators will win, but that trend will make it ugly. They won’t cover, and the game will hit the under. They’ll need a late second-half touchdown to pull out the heart-stopper.

Florida: 21 Kentucky: 17 (Kentucky +7.5; Under 55)
