Gambling odds:

  • Line: Oklahoma State -3.5
  • Over/Under: 47.5
  • Moneyline: Oklahoma State -180; Baylor +150

How about Mike Gundy! A coach Tennessee football didn’t pass up on but was rejected in trying to hire twice, he once again appears to have the Oklahoma State Cowboys looking like a Big 12 power. Also, despite being an offensive genius, this year, he appears to be doing it with defense

Saturday’s matchup at Boone Pickens Stadium, though, features two teams coming off huge wins. Oklahoma State dominated the Kansas State Wildcats in a battle to be in the top 25, and the Baylor Bears are coming off a thrilling win over the Iowa State Cyclones.

Dave Aranda, ironically, has been winning with offense despite being a defensive mind, only failing to score 30 once, when he hit 29 in the opener against the Texas State Bobcats. Baylor is getting better each week and should be ready for this showdown.

Prediction

Although both teams have a perception of being more defense-oriented, their offenses are also clearly getting better. As a result, the over is the best bet here. At the same time, Oklahoma State looked a lot more dominant last week. Because of that, we’re rolling with the Cowboys, and given that this will be more of a shootout, they’ll win a close game, but they’ll cover.

Oklahoma State: 38 Baylor: 31 (Oklahoma State -3.5; Over 47.5)
