Happy Friday. It’s time to get ready for another weekend of fun football, and for the Tennessee Vols, we’re being serious when we mean fun. Last week was such a fun game for UT, and they are now hoping to replicate that Saturday.

Our morning update on Rocky Top leads with continuing coverage of the program’s upcoming matchup with the South Carolina Gamecocks. We’ll cover it by discussing another press conference that took place Thursday.

Beyond football, though, we’ve got a women’s soccer recap, more coverage of an ongoing tennis event and previews in volleyball and men’s tennis, so there is plenty to cover to kick off the weekend. As always, let’s start with football.

Josh Heupel holds final presser before South Carolina – Grant Ramey, GoVols247

Two days ahead of the Tennessee Vols football matchup with South Carolina, UT head coach Josh Heupel spoke with the media for the final time. In addition to talking about the game, Heupel noted that former Vol Al Wilson would lead the Vol Walk Saturday. Here’s a bit of what he said about the legendary linebacker.

"“Great opportunity for our fans to really just emphasize what he means to Vol Nation, what he’s done. A guy that, to me, embodies everything that it means to be a Volunteer. A guy that cares about his teammates still to this day. More than he cares about himself. A guy that plays the right way and has always done that. Honored to have him here and looking forward to having him spend some time with our football team over the course of the weekend, too.”"
