Tennessee football vs. Ole Miss: Five key Vols to watch for against Rebels

Quarterback play, elite skill players and a guy who can force turnovers are all key to Tennessee football beating Ole Miss on Saturday. However, as crucial as turnovers, third down stops by the defense will also be crucial on both sides of the ball.
Just a couple of stops will make all the difference, and that’s where standard defensive players come into the picture. Amidst the news that linebacker Juwan Mitchell is out for the season, more pressure will be on Jeremy Banks and Aaron Beasley than ever before. The two have been the main linebackers in recent weeks.
Banks’ role will be the most important on Saturday. Because of Theo Jackson’s absence last week, who would have been on this list, Banks now leads the team in tackles for a loss with seven and sacks with three and a half. He also has a pass deflection, and interception and 33 tackles, 18 of which were solo.
Over the past two weeks, Banks had one and a half sacks against South Carolina, and he had a pick against Missouri. Tennessee football needs him to step up more than anybody, and as long as he can avoid the penalties, a couple of key plays like him could change everything in this one.
