Saturday’s only SEC matchup between top 25 teams features the No. 11 ranked Kentucky Wildcats at the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs. It’s also the only matchup with tickets competing with Tennessee football against the Ole Miss Rebels when it comes to price

Checker Neyland, Lane Kiffin’s return to Knoxville as head coach and the top two offenses in the SEC set to clash in front of a Saturday night October crowd in Knoxville, Tenn. is having its impact. Vol fans are heeding Josh Heupel’s call to create a hostile environment.

The only proof you need of that is the game selling out within 24 hours of athletic director Danny White confirming the return of Checker Neyland. Tennessee football announced the sellout Tuesday evening on Twitter.

On Stubhub that night, the lowest tickets for the Vols were at $160. They got as high as $4,850. That beat Georgia and Kentucky, whose range was from $155 to $1,000. Now, on Vivid seats, Georgia’s floor was $203 while UT’s floor was $160. However, earlier in the day, UT’s floor was $147, while Georgia’s floor was $230.

As a result, with the way the trends were going, it’s very possible that by the end of the week, the Vols and Ole Miss are the hottest commodity in the nation. If you go specifically by vivid seats for every game this weekend, none are higher than those two.

In fact, when you compare this matchup to other SEC matchups, no other floor was above $50. It makes sense for Georgia and Kentucky to have that value, but Rocky Top and Ole Miss carrying it compared to other SEC schools shows just what Vol fans can do.

You’d think the Alabama Crimson Tide and Mississippi State Bulldogs, the Florida Gators and LSU Tigers or the Auburn Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks could all compete in value. Their lows were $47, $30 and $26 respectively Tuesday.

What about on a national level? The Oklahoma State Cowboys and Texas Longhorns are the only other top 25 matchup this week. Their tickets on Vivid Seats are as low as $6. With that, it’s clear who the real UT is.

Next. How Vols should plan gimmicks like Checker Neyland. dark

This is what happens when Tennessee football provides fans with a little bit of hope. Josh Heupel has done that thanks to back to back blowout victories. Combine it with everything else we mentioned, and you’re looking at the most intriguing game of the week. TV networks dropped the ball only putting it on SEC Network.
