For obvious reasons, all eyes have been on Lane Kiffin this week as he returns to Rocky Top when Tennessee football faces the Ole Miss Rebels Saturday night. However, a huge reason for the hype is the success of both teams, with the Vols sitting at 4-2 and Ole Miss sitting at 4-1 while being ranked No. 13 in the AP Poll and No. 14 in the Coaches Poll.

The players have a lot to do with Ole Miss bringing in so much hype to Neyland Stadium. If the Vols are going to pull off the upset, they’ll have their hands full with a lot talent, particularly on the offensive side of the ball given the way Kiffin spreads it around. Eight different players have at least one touchdown, and seven have at least 200 yards from scrimmage.

As we take a look at the key players coming from Mississippi to Knoxville, though, many of them will actually be on the other side of the ball. After all, a defensive stop could be the difference. Let’s break down why. These are the five Rebels to watch for against Tennessee football.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wide receiver. Dontario Drummond. 841. Senior. 5. player

6’1″ 220 pounds

Multiple players had a case to be the top weapon for Ole Miss in this game. Jerrion Ealy does everything, Henry Parrish Jr. leads the team in rushing with 332 yards and is one of only two players with over 400 yards from scrimmage, and Snoop Conner has seven rushing touchdowns. Braylon Sanders and Jonathan Mingo each have over 290 yards and three touchdowns receiving.

However, none of the offensive weapons have stood out like Dontario Drummond. For the year, Drummond has 26 catches for 460 yards and five touchdowns, and he also has a rushing touchdown. Two players have over 400 yards from scrimmage, and three have over five touchdowns. Drummond is the only one to have both.

Because of that, while Tennessee football will have to account for lots of weapons all over the field, Drummond is the one who will get the bulk of the targets. The secondary has been solid the last two weeks, but this will be a brutal test for them.
