Honestly, Missouri didn’t look that much better than South Carolina against Vanderbilt. They were struggling to put the game away in the fourth quarter. Also, they looked significantly worse against Tennessee football than South Carolina. Taking those two things into account, you could have made a case to flip these two teams.

Either way, they’re both in the next to worst tier in our SEC Power Rankings. Mizzou is higher-ranked right now solely due to the Vandy game being more recent, and they didn’t need as much luck as South Carolina to get out of that game.

However, Eliah Drinkwitz is still having a disappointing second season. Coming off a bye, you would think his team could have put together a better performance against easily the worst team in the league. Not doing so is definitely concerning. Like South Carolina, they have a shot at a bowl.

The team between them that keeps that shot will be the one that wins when they face off a week from Saturday. Mizzou is lucky to have that game at home, and like South Carolina, they also have Florida at home. That’s their path to a bowl. Unfortunately for them, the Georgia Bulldogs this week and the Arkansas Razorbacks at the end of the year, both on the road, aren’t winnable.
