A 45-42 win that involves five lead changes is naturally going to involve a lot of highlights. Tennessee football hired Josh Heupel with highlights in mind, and the Vols lived up to all of that in their win at the Kentucky Wildcats coming off a bye.

What didn’t you have? There were multiple touchdowns of 70 yards, another one from over 35 yards and a defensive touchdown. It was a close game, but it was also a thriller, one that left Vol fans feeling a sense of euphoria. Sure, that’s not supposed to come with beating Kentucky, but given the state of the programs recently, it is a big deal.

All of those fireworks obviously made for lots of highlights. Vol fans will want to relive the moments from this game, and in this post, we’re going to give them just that. This is video footage of Tennessee football’s top moments in their huge win in Lexington, Ky. at Kroger Field.

JaVonta Payton 75-yard TD on opening play from Hendon Hooker

Velus Jones Jr. 70-yard TD on second drive from Hendon Hooker

Jacob Warren 18-yard TD pass from Hendon Hooker

Jabari Small 37-yard TD run

Alontae Taylor 56-yard interception return TD

Cedric Tillman 37-yard catch

Cedric Tillman 6-yard TD catch from Hendon Hooker

Those final two plays to Cedric Tillman were a huge part of the game. Tillman didn’t have highlights as significant as what Velus Jones Jr. and JaVonta Payton had earlier in the game, but he had the key catches to make sure the Vols stayed in control of this matchup after Kentucky managed to cut it close.

However, all of these highlights were big deals. Alontae Taylor’s pick-six was a huge deal, and that play was all him, as he read the quarterback and led him to believe he was going to drift in the opposite direction. It was probably the most impressive individual play of the night.
