Despite being a 20 point underdog Saturday against the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs, Tennessee football brings a lot of interesting storylines to the table. On Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn., Kirby Smart’s historically great defense will face an offense unlike any his unit has seen all year.

The Vols’ tempo, averaging nearly three plays a minute, is over half a play more per minute than any other team the Dawgs have faced. Add in their quick strikes, them playing at home and their recent offensive output at the Kentucky Wildcats, and there’s reason for intrigue.

With that, what bets are the best ones to place? We’re going to dive into that here. As usual, we’ll start with the best standard bet and end with bets to avoid. In between, we’ll rank the three best prop bets for Tennessee football’s matchup with Georgia. All bets are based on the WynnBET betting odds.

Best standard bet: Over 55

Honestly, this bet isn’t for the reason you’d think. The idea for the over is that the Vols have the best offense Georgia has faced all year, so they’re naturally going to score enough points to push this game to the over against the Dawgs’ historically great defense. However, it’s the other side of the ball that’s the reason to bet the over on this.

Georgia has one of the most underrated offenses in the nation. It’s amazing defense has shielded that fact. However, when you look at what’s been done on that side of the ball and UT’s struggles on defense, you have to bet on Georgia scoring enough to hit the over.

By the way, combine that with the possibility of Tennessee football actually hitting a couple of quick strikes, and it’s almost a sure bet this game hits the over. As a result, if you bet nothing else on this game, take the over. UT’s defensive issues, Georgia’s efficient offense and the Vols’ ability to score quickly all play into that.
