Last week: Defeated South Carolina Gamecocks 31-28

It’s been a rough second year for Eliah Drinkwitz. His program suffered two close losses early to Kentucky and the Boston College Eagles, and then they were blown out by Tennessee football. However, in recent weeks, they have taken advantage of some of the easier games on their slate, and two of their last three games are wins over Vanderbilt and then South Carolina.

Last weekend’s win over South Carolina was a huge deal. It could end up being the difference in determining which team reaches a bowl game. Although Drinkwitz did have a drop-off this year, that would be a huge boost to close out the season.

Mizzou still has many issues, particularly on defense, but they’re making up for it with a high-powered rushing attack. Tyler Badie has gone for over 200 yards in each of their last two wins, and there’s no shame in a loss to Georgia in between them.

Now, though, like South Carolina, they need an upset somewhere to reach a bowl. What better game to do that than Saturday at home against a Florida team falling apart? This is their best chance, as they have to visit the Arkansas Razorbacks to close out the year.
