Tennessee football vs. Vanderbilt: Five key Commodores to watch for against Vols

Although the Vols aren’t a team that throws interceptions, that’s Vanderbilt’s one way of making games interesting. As a result, in this game, they’re going to have to make sure they avoid all the players capable of picking off passes, and Dashaun Jerkins and Ethan Barr are two of those players who stands out above everybody else in this regard.
Once again, Jerkins almost made this list. However, once again, a more physical player took his spot. Barr playing linebacker and getting three interceptions is impressive. His three pass deflections is also one more than Jerkins, so he’s been slightly more productive when it comes to pass defense alone.
Then comes the rest of the game. Barr is second on the team in tackles with 76, and 42 of them are solo. He also has one and a half tackles for a loss. Simply put, he’s a true coverage linebacker who can still play physical when needed.
As a result, Tennessee football will naturally have to watch out for Barr. Jerkins still deserves an honorable mention, as Barr and Worship took one of the spots that could have been his. In truth, all three of these guys could be dangerous, and they could sneak up on Josh Heupel’s offense.
