Last week: Defeated Florida State Seminoles 24-21

Just like they did with Tennessee football earlier in the year, the Florida Gators still managed to beat teams that would have at one point at least been considered arch-rivals. A week after firing Dan Mullen, they finally got back on track and scored what may have turned out to be their most impressive win on the season.

Florida now has a Power Five win beyond Tennessee football and Vanderbilt. Under interim head coach Greg Knox, they pulled off the win against the Florida State Seminoles on the road in a game that would determine who reaches a bowl.

Unfortunately for Florida, it didn’t do anything to move them up our SEC Power Rankings. After all, they beat a team with a losing record that started the year 0-4. It was a nice rebound win for them given everything they have gone through, but it doesn’t undo losing to multiple teams in the bottom half of the league throughout the season.

Still, at the end of the day, this team is going bowling. Where they go remains up for debate, but they have a chance to finish with a winning season before the Billy Napier era begins. That’s something to be happy about.
