Tennessee basketball vs. South Carolina: Live stream, broadcast info, line, odds, prediction
Coming off a disappointing loss to the LSU Tigers on the road last Saturday, Tennessee basketball has a quick turnaround and is back at home for another key SEC matchup. They will host the South Carolina Gamecocks Tuesday night.
UT comes into this game having fallen to No. 22 in the AP Poll and No. 23 in the Coaches Poll. They’ll be looking to get back to .500 in SEC play, but just looking decent in an SEC win at this point is their main goal.
On the same day UT lost 79-67 at LSU, now ranked No. 12 in both polls, Frank Martin’s team scored a close 72-70 win over the Vanderbilt Commodores on the road. Here is all the information you need for Tennessee basketball’s matchup.

This year is the best 14-game start for South Carolina since their Final Four run in 2017. They lost six rotational players from last year’s 6-14 team, five to transfer and one, leading scorer A.J. Lawson, to the pros.
However, their second and third leading scorers from last year, Jermaine Couisnard and Keyshawn Bryant, are both back. Returning starter Wildens Levegue has broken out, averaging double figures, and they added transfers Erik Stevenson from the Washington Huskies and James Reese V from the North Texas Mean Green.
A recruiting class headlined by four-star Devin Carter has rounded out the overhaul, and it’s yielded solid results so far. However, they are still looking for a signature win, as Vanderbilt and the Florida State Seminoles are their only two Power Five victories.
The Vols are a perfect team for them to get that signature win against right now. UT’s only win in the SEC is at home in overtime against an Ole Miss Rebels team that didn’t have its leading scorer. A red-hot three-point shooting team earlier in the year, they have gone ice cold from beyond the arc recently, and it’s proven costly.
Prediction
Can Barnes’ team continue to be so challenged offensively? At some point, they have to break out of that. A half-court man-to-man defense seems like the perfect chance for them to do that. Add in the fact that Barnes challenged John Fulkerson after Saturday’s loss, and everything favors UT.
When you add in the fact that Tennessee basketball is bound to get hot again from three, all signs point to this finally being the game where it all comes together. Rocky Top wins in a blowout, and their complete offensive performance is why this game hits the Over 142. Also take Tennessee -15.5. The score will look something like this: Tennessee 81 South Carolina 65.
