Okay, so Jauan Jennings has seen a lot less experience than Cam Sutton, Emmanuel Moseley and Derek Barnett this year. After all, he has only started one game, and he only has 24 catches for 282 yards. However, five of those 24 catches have gone for touchdowns.
Most importantly, Jennings is peaking at the right time. He just had six catches for 94 yards and two touchdowns in the San Francisco 49ers’ 27-24 win over the Los Angeles Rams, joining Moseley in helping the Niners reach the playoffs in a big way. It’s becoming more and more clear that if he gets more targets, he makes big plays.
All Tennessee football fans know this. The bigger the moment, the more likely Jennings always was to make a big play. Well, it’s now the NFL Playoffs, so you have to have faith in Jennings making some big plays. After falling to the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft and not making the roster that year, he has something to prove.
Add in the fact that San Francisco is going to be facing an overrated Dallas secondary to begin the playoffs Sunday afternoon, and it’s possible to see Jennings racking up tons of yards in the process. This could be his breakout moment, and his history and mentality prove that. Bet on him.
