Kansas City Chiefs. 1. player. 124. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Offensive lineman. Trey Smith

6’5″ 329 pounds

Speaking of key weapons, particularly during the Jeremy Pruitt era, who have something to prove from Tennessee football, Trey Smith is right there with Jauan Jennings. A three-time All-SEC guard, Smith fell to the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft over concerns about his health issues despite the fact he had played every game in three of his four years at UT.

Well, the Kansas City Chiefs took him, and then he dominated fall camp, so he immediately became their starting right guard. Smith hasn’t looked back, starting every game this year, and his development was a huge part of KC getting significantly better as the season went on.

There’s a reason Smith made PFF’s All-Rookie Team, and he is already considered one of the best run blockers out there. In the playoffs, that’s a huge deal, and with KC set to face Pittsburgh, he’s about to have plenty of chances to showcase his abilities.

Given the lack of faith in him and what he’s already proven, Smith is a nice risky pick to be Tennessee football’s top performer in the postseason. KC is expected to go far in the playoffs despite not having the No. 1 seed, so Smith should have plenty of opportunities to showcase his abilities as well. As a result, he tops this list.
