Rank: 5

Sure, it’s an SEC win, but Tennessee football had already accomplished its goals by the time this game came around. The Vols shocked the world after that rough start we have already mentioned to clinch bowl eligibility a week early, and they were the hottest team in November, their only loss coming to the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs.

Against Vandy on Senior Day to close out the regular season, the offense actually started off a bit slower than they had been all year. It didn’t matter, though, as Theo Jackson, in his final home game, had a pick-six on the first drive of the game.

Finally, things picked up in the second quarter for Tennessee football, and their offense scored 17 points. They should have been up 24-0 going into halftime, but a Vanderbilt Hail Mary as time expired made it 24-7. Josh Heupel’s kids didn’t let that deter them in the second half, though.

UT went up 31-7 thanks to a 46-yard touchdown pass from Hooker to Cedric Tillman. They had complete control then and just got to enjoy their final home game in what was an overachieving regular season. Hooker wasn’t his best with just 156 yards, but he had 75 rushing yards, and Jaylen Wright and Jabari Small both went over 100.
