5. Joe Milton III 40-yard touchdown pass to Cedric Tillman vs. Bowling Green

We had no way of knowing how elite Cedric Tillman would become for Tennessee football, especially since he was a late bloomer. However, he made an amazing grab in the opener against the Bowling Green Falcons that stood out among all his touchdowns. Joe Milton III had been overthrowing passes all day.

With the score 31-6 in the fourth quarter, the game was in hand, but UT needed insurance. This time, Milton underthrew Tillman, and he reached over the defender to grab it. There were other impressive plays by Tillman, including a 70-yard touchdown catch against Alabama and a 61-yard touchdown catch against Purdue.

Meanwhile, Tillman had an epic sequence against Kentucky to keep the Vols in control after they built a two-score lead. He made an impressive leaping grab and then caught a fade for a touchdown, both key plays.

Then there was the 200-yard game against the Georgia Bulldogs. However, Tillman’s catch against Bowling Green stands out because of how impressive it was. Tennessee football didn’t need it as much, but as a play on its own it has to make the list.
