Coming off a huge win over the LSU Tigers this past weekend, Tennessee basketball takes the court again Wednesday night after getting back into the top 20 of both polls. The Vols will host the Florida Gators, their final matchup before this weekend’s SEC-Big 12 Challenge.

Mike White’s team heads to Rocky Top on a short rest, as they faced the Ole Miss Rebels on the road in a make-up game Monday night, losing 70-54 in the process. That loss snapped a three-game winning streak they had in the conference.

On the other side, Tennessee basketball’s 64-50 win over LSU was its third win over a team that was ranked in the top 25 when the two faced off this year and its second over a team currently in the top 25. After this matchup, they’ll visit the Texas Longhorns Saturday, and Florida will host the Oklahoma State Cowboys the same day.

Prediction

This is Florida’s third game in five days. As a result, Rocky Top should have its way with them especially with the way they have played in their new lineup, as Uros Plavsic has replaced John Fulkerson as the starting center. Plavsic has a tough test with Colin Castleton. UT shoots and rebounds slightly better and also has Santiago Vescovi and Kennedy Chandler.
