All signs point to Michigan Wolverines losing Jim Harbaugh back to the NFL after one College Football Playoff appearance in seven years. Chris Balas of TheWolverine.com reported Tuesday the deal was done, and he was interviewing with the Minnesota Vikings Wednesday. This means a lot of things for a lot of people and programs, and Tennessee football can cash in.

Even if Harbaugh does come back, the evidence is clear by this point that he’s not committed to Michigan’s future. Michigan has a top 10 caliber recruiting class for 2022 that includes 23 commitments, and he’s interviewing for a new job on National Signing Day.

Although 22 of Michigan’s commits are already signed, it’s likely that this drama will send many of these players elsewhere. Josh Heupel had to deal with members of the 2021 class asking out of their letters of intent once Jeremy Pruitt was fired. It’s time for Rocky Top to return the favor. These are five signees Tennessee football should steal out of Ann Arbor, Mich., for 2022.

5. Keon Sabb

Defensive back; Bradenton, Fla.

Initially, Keon Sabb committed to the Clemson Tigers, but he decommitted after Brent Venables left for the Oklahoma Sooners, and he immediately joined Michigan as the program was riding its peak under Jim Harbaugh. With this news, he could be completely reopening his recruitment at this point, and the Vols may have a chance to strike.

Standing between 6’1″ and 6’2″ while weighing in the range of 190 to 210 pounds, Sabb hails from New Jersey, about an hour south of where UT’s most recent commitment comes from, and he is currently at IMG Academy in Central Florida, where Heupel built connections as head coach of the UCF Knights.

Taking that into account, Tennessee football should heavily target the four-star across the board. Sabb is listed as a safety, and the Vols will at least lost Trevon Flowers after this year and may lose Jaylen McCollough. As a result, Sabb would be a great pickup for them, and many random schools, like UT, are in a great position to cash in.
