Part of that incident that got Martavius French and Isaac Washington suspended for spring ball, Kaidon Salter also missed the spring and then suffered another legal in the summer. As a result, the 2021 four-start signee was dismissed.
A 6’1″ 190-pound dual-threat quarterback, Salter entered the portal and joined the Liberty Flames, where he went 1-of-2 for 39 yards and a touchdown while carrying the ball six times for 48 yards over two games in 2021. With Malik Willis leaving, Salter could start for Liberty in 2022.
17. Darel Middleton; West Virginia Mountaineers
- Defensive lineman
- Redshirt senior
- Entered portal June 30, 2021
Another summer portal entry, Darel Middleton played three games for the West Virginia Mountaineers and picked up a sack after once being a very productive junior college transfer for Tennessee football at 6’7″ 305 pounds. 16. Jarrett Guarantano; Washington State Cougars

The wild ride for Jarrett Guarantano with the Vols continued as he entered the portal and joined the Washington State Cougars the day UT’s 2020 regular season ended. Guarantano played for a coach who was fired mid-season over vaccination issues.
Battling injuries at 6’4″ 220 pounds, Guarantano played three games and completed 33 of 49 passes (67.3 percent) for 304 yards 6.2 yards per attempt), one touchdown and three interceptions in three games. He’s now out of eligibility.
15 .Wanya Morris; Oklahoma Sooners
- Offensive lineman
- Junior
- Entered portal Jan. 13, 2021
Despite starting for two years with Tennessee football and wrecking their offensive line by transferring, Wanya Morris wasn’t a huge factor with the Oklahoma Sooners. To get your own page on here, you had to play the majority of the season. At 6’5″ 312 pounds, Morris became a backup at left tackle and appeared in just six games.
