Tennessee football’s five most underrated signees in 2022 class
Woodward Academy
Marquarius White is underrated because of his athletic ability. Jayson Jenkins is underrated because of his versatility. Christian Harrison is underrated because of his understanding of the game, and he could be an early starter for Tennessee football.
It makes sense for Harrison to have an understanding of the game. He is the son of NFL legend Rodney Harrison, and while he plays cornerback and Rodney Harrison played safety, having that pedigree still has to give him an advantage with the fundamentals of playing defensive back.
UT has had success with such secondary players in the past like Nigel Warrior, the son of Dale Carter, and Baylen Buchanan, the son of Ray Buchanan. Harrison, who went to school in College Park, Ga., which is still in Fulton County but not in Atlanta, brings a ton of potential, standing between 6’0″ and 6’1″ while weighing in the range of 180 to 183 pounds.
He’s been described as a versatile athlete with great ball skills since he has played receiver too, so he may not be locked down at cornerback in the secondary either. Like Buchanan and Warrior, Harrison comes from Georgia, and those two were ready to start as freshmen. Don’t be surprised if Harrison has a similar early impact despite being a three-star across the board.
