3. Brycen Sanders – Offensive lineman

Hometown: Chattanooga, Tenn. (Baylor School)

Offensive line is always a need for Tennessee football, and that will certainly be the case next year. The Vols already have an opening at right tackle. They will lose Jerome Carvin on the inside after this year, and since Darnell Wright will be a senior, they could also lose him at left tackle after this year if he has a strong enough showing.

Well, there’s a guy from Hamilton County who could help add to their depth on the offensive line and bring some real talent at the same time. With Carvin certain to be gone, Brycen Sanders would immediately help offset his departure given his profile.

Standing between 6’5″ and 6’6″ while weighing in the range of 275 to 280 pounds, Sanders is a four-star across the board. He is listed as an offensive tackle on Rivals and ESPN but is named an interior offensive lineman on 247Sports and On3.

That level of versatility is a huge deal, and it allows for Josh Heupel and Glen Elarbee to plug Sanders in wherever they need to the minute he arrives on Rocky Top. Obviously, they will need him to put on some weight, but he’s already got the proper size, and unanimous four-star linemen should never leave the state.
