Tennessee baseball series preview at No. 1 Ole Miss: Live stream, game times, TV and radio info
It might be the biggest regular season series in history for Tennessee baseball in terms of excitement. The Vols’ first road trip in SEC play could be to determine which team will be ranked No. 1 in the nation when next week rolls around.
Tony Vitello’s team, ranked anywhere from No. 5 to No. 2 depending on the service, is in Mississippi this weekend for a three-game series against the Ole Miss Rebels. They are on a 12-game winning streak, most recently beating the Butler Bulldogs 13-3 Tuesday and having swept the South Carolina Gamecocks last weekend.
Ole Miss, meanwhile, comes in ranked No. 1 in the D1Baseball.com and Baseball America top 25 rankings and anywhere from No. 8 to No. 1 depending on the service. Here is all the information you need for Tennessee baseball’s huge road matchup.

Most recently, Ole Miss beat the Memphis Tigers 11-8 on Wednesday at home. They were supposed to play Memphis on the road Tuesday, but that game was canceled. Last week, they took two of three from the Auburn Tigers on the road.
This will be the second, third and fourth games for the Vols against a team ranked No. 1. Their first came three weeks ago against the Texas Longhorns when they were atop the polls as part of the Shriners Hospital for Children College Classic at Minute Maid Park in Houston. UT suffered its only loss on the season in that game, falling 7-2.
The only other team No. 1 outside of Ole Miss in major polls are the Vanderbilt Commodores, who are No. 1 in the Coaches Poll and in the Collegiate Baseball top 25. Funny enough, Rocky Top will host them next weekend, so this is a huge two weeks for them.
Immediately after this series, though, Tennessee baseball will host the Western Carolina Catamounts Wednesday for a midweek matchup. Ole Miss, meanwhile, will host the North Alabama Lions Tuesday before visiting the Kentucky Wildcats next weekend.
