2021-2022. Kennedy Chandler. 2. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Guard. 534

2022 NBA Draft

Given his heart and the fact that Tennessee basketball won the SEC Tournament Championship while he ran the show at point guard, Kennedy Chandler is definitely the most beloved one-and-done in UT history at least from a basketball perspective. Doug Atkins wins the beloved title overall but for football.

Anyway, Chandler also is the only one-and-done to lead the Vols past the first round of the NCAA Tournament. As a point guard who was a five-star across the board, he averaged 13.9 points a game. Add in his over four and a half assists and over two steals, and he was truly an elite player at 6’0″ 172 pounds.

In terms of shooting efficiency, he shot 50.4 percent from two and 38.3 percent from the three-point line. However, there is one thing that drug down his efficiency and honestly probably kept him from being No. 1 on this list: free throw shooting.

For the year, Chandler shot just 60.6 percent from the foul line. That can’t be ignored when doing these comparisons, and it kept his true shooting percentage down at .539. Still, he did so many other things and was such a great hustle player that he deserves to be high up here.
