San Francisco 49ers. 3. team. 42. . 10-7.

Lost NFC Championship

With no first-round pick, the San Francisco 49ers will spend the NFL Draft looking for more developmental projects. That focus will definitely be on the offensive line, which was a big position of need for them this offseason but not addressed in free agency. Instead, they focused on another huge need, the secondary.

Help in the trenches in general is huge for San Fran, and that’s where they’ll look with their draft picks. On the offensive line, similar to Cincinnati, they specifically need help on the interior, so once again, Mays is the perfect type of player to bring them what they need.

The success of Emmanuel Moseley should have an impact on San Francisco giving a look to unheralded Tennessee football prospects, even if he and Mays played for different coaches and never crossed paths on Rocky Top. Those stories leave a lasting impression.

What really helps Mays is not only San Francisco’s need on the line, it’s where the need is. They specifically need another center, right guard and right tackle. Mays’ experience is mostly on the right side of the line, as he played right tackle last year and right guard in 2020, so he would be a perfect fit on that team.
