New York Jets. 2. team. 30. . 4-13.

Missed NFL Playoffs

Okay, there’s one major caveat here. The New York Jets are such an incompetent franchise that you never want to be a late-round draft pick with them. It’s not like they have any skills when it comes to evaluating talent, and since Theo Jackson is hoping to join a list of steals from Tennessee football, this may not be the best spot.

That’s the only reason, though, the Jets aren’t No. 1 on this list. When you look at how badly they need help in the secondary, anybody they draft from there is going to get a fair shot to play. Competition will be key this offseason, so a guy like Jackson would be a perfect fit there.

The Jets signed a cornerback and a safety in this offseason, but those are still their two biggest needs in the NFL Draft. That means they’re looking for depth and even more immediate help, so being selected by them would give Jackson multiple opportunities to make the roster.

With two first-round picks and a ton of picks overall, Jackson will likely have lots of competition in New York, but the number of opportunities outweighs the competition and the incompetence. It’s that significant with this franchise, so despite the team’s past, Jackson would be a perfect fit in New York if given the chance.
