Scouting Report. Senior. player. Aaron Beasley. 8. 839. Pick Analysis. Linebacker

6’1″ 225 pounds

A three-star Georgia kid cross the board when he committed to Tennessee football in 2019 as an athlete and a defensive back, it seemed likely Aaron Beasley would play safety. However, he moved over to linebacker after a year in the program, and then the litany of transfers and injuries there last year made him more crucial.

As a result, the graduate of Heard County High School in Franklin, Ga., became one of the key rotational players. He finished the year with seven and a half tackles for a loss, one and a half sacks, two pass deflections and 84 total tackles, 34 of which were solo.

Now, there were some issues with Beasley, as there were with all the main linebackers. Poor containment and coverage issues led to him having one of the three worst PFF regular season grades on defense. He was joined by the other two linebackers, Jeremy Banks and Solon Page III.

Still, they are all key to this team. Beasley had higher PFF grades than both, and Banks was a four-star anyway. Since he’s graded higher than Page and would play more snaps, he gets it over him. Juwan Mitchell is a wildcard here, as the Texas Longhorns transfer got hurt last year, but he was a junior college transfer, so he doesn’t make this list.
