player. Pick Analysis. Senior. Roman Harrison. 839. Scouting Report. Edge rusher. 9

6’2″ 244 pounds

We’re now on the second straight player who is from Georgia but but not the Atlanta metro area. Roman Harrison committed to Tennessee football out of Bainbridge High School in Decature County, Ga.,  which is down on the Florida-Georgia line. Just to add to that, Heard County, where Aaron Beasley is from, is on the Alabama border.

Anyway, Harrison has been a rotational edge rusher for three years now. Last season’s system change didn’t change that for him.  Even with the arrival of another guy who is on this list, Harrison actually saw his production increase down the stretch of 2021.

For the year, Harrison had three and a half tackles for a loss, a sack and 33 total tackles, 18 of which were solo. Then came spring ball, and all signs pointed to him seeing an even larger role, so he could become a bigger impact player this year than ever before.

As a result, despite him not playing as many snaps as Beasley, his potential and production put him a bit higher on this list. Tim Banks probably wants a more flexible rotation among his edge rushers this year given how he likes his defense to be multiple, and Harrison helps with that.
