Ranking all 10 returning Tennessee Lady Vols for 2022-2023
6’2″
Just like Tamari Key, Jordan Horston was a five-star in Kellie Harper’s first class with the Tennessee Lady Vols out of Columbus Africentric Early College in Franklin County, Ohio, and she has lived up to the hype. She missed the entire postseason, though, due to an injury.
Before that, Horston had emerged as UT’s best player. Last year, she averaged 16.2 points per game, just under nine and a half rebounds per game, four assists per game and just under one and a half steals per game. All of those led the team, so it was clearly a breakout year for her. Oh, she also averaged one block per game.
On the other hand, Horston was slightly less efficient, averaging four and a half turnovers a game, shooting 27.6 from three and hitting 67.8 percent of her free throws. However, she was having to shoulder a larger, more unexpected role given the injury early on to Rae Burrell.
In spite of that, Horston is easily the top returning player for the Tennessee Lady Vols, and even with all the talent Kellie Harper has added, she’s likely also still the best player in general. Entering her senior year, expectations are going to be through the roof, as she’s easily the most fun player to watch on this team too.
