She was the lowest-rated recruit in the Tennessee Lady Vols’ 2021 class, coming in as a three-star out of Kentucky. However, Brooklynn Miles ended up seeing more action than all but one member of the class. The graduate of Franklin County High School in Frankfort, Ky., turned into a reliable backup point guard.

Miles played just under 20 minutes a game and appeared in 33 of 34 games. She averaged two assists and just under one steal in addition to two and a half points and just under three rebounds a game. Shooting 41.7 percent from the free throw line, 38.8 percent from the field and 22.6 percent from three could get better, but this was a good start.

Also, there was a bit of an efficiency in turnovers, as Miles averaged just under two a game, so her assist to turnover ratio was almost 1:1. These are things that’ll get better with time and experience, though, and she certainly got plenty of experience last year.

That playing experience puts her over the other three players who were on this list, but she is still down here because of the addition of Minnesota Golden Gophers transfer point guard Jasmine Powell. For a year at least, Miles will do more developing with Powell there.
