Defensive back. Christian Harrison. Scouting Report. Freshman. 6. player. 839. Pick Analysis

Joining Jourdan Thomas as a safety, Christian Harrison brings a deeper pedigree to Tennessee football, which could help him a bit more.

Similar to James Pearce, Christian Harrison is higher on this list with the same fundamentals surrounding a position that kept another player a little lower on it. Harrison plays safety, just like Jourdan Thomas, Tennessee football is set at both safety spots with Jaylen McCollough and Trevon Flowers, and Harrison, like Thomas was a three-star across the board.

Coming out of Atlanta, though, Harrison’s pedigree puts him higher on this list. He is the son of NFL legend Rodney Harrison, and the Vols have a good history of safeties out of Georgia who are sons of elite NFL defensive backs. Remember Nigel Warrior a few years ago?

Standing between 6’0″ and 6’1″ and weighing in the range of 180 to 183 pounds, the graduate of Woodward Academy in the College Park area of Fulton County, Ga., will likely be ready to make an impact a lot earlier than most newcomers are just because of his background.

Taking that into account, Harrison has a great chance to make a push to be a rotational player with Christian Charles’ looks at cornerback leaving that one spot open. He could potentially push for a spot either way. This is a bit of a bank on his background, but it has to count for something.
