William Mohan. Scouting Report. r-Sophomore. Linebacker. 12. player. 839. Pick Analysis

6’1″ 210 pounds

Last year, William Mohan flew somewhat under the radar as a transfer. Tennessee football had a huge need at linebacker given the transfers of Henry To’o To’o and Quavaris Crouch, and Juwan Mitchell was the standout arrival from the Texas Longhorns. Aaron Willis was the highly touted four-star expected to have an impact.

Willis missed spring ball and never got into the rotation, so he transferred after this past year’s spring practice. Mitchell got hurt. Still, Mohan, who transferred to the Vols from the Michigan Wolverines as Joe Milton III did, never really was able to work his way into the rotation.

As mentioned, Jeremy Banks, Solon Page III and Aaron Beasley were the guys there. However, also as mentioned, they had the three lowest PFF regular season grades of anybody who played at least 100 snaps on defense. That leaves the door wide open for more help this year.

Don’t be surprised if Mohan moves up the ladder given that need. The guy did play in 12 games last year, and he came away with nine tackles, six of which were solo. As a result, he’s got a bit better of a chance than Kwauze Garland to steal a rotational spot. Mitchell returning to health hurts that, but don’t sleep on what Mohan can bring to Tennessee football.
