3. National championship: Field (+310) vs. Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama

Remember, we’re talking about ways you can bet on Tennessee football. If there is one school or a group of schools against the field in a bet, then that field is a bet involving the Vols. As a result, one way you could bet on them is as part of the national championship field against the Georgia Bulldogs, Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide.

WynnBET has grouped them together and given them odds at -400 to win the national title. Obviously, since this site involves betting on UT, you can’t bet on them in those odds. The bet has to be on the field, but honestly, that could end up being a better bet anyway.

When you look at the payout, there are great odds here. Sure, those three teams are leaps and bounds better than everybody else, but Georgia just lost a ton of talent, Alabama plays in the brutal SEC West, and Ohio State is dealing with a pretty rough Big Ten East.

As a result, a lot of things are working against those teams, making it very possible another team wins the title, and with the +310 payout for another team that technically could be the Vols, you should take that bet. Even if it’s beyond being bound to bet on the Vols, the field is probably the better move here.
