Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Senior. 4. player. Linebacker. SirVocea Dennis. 866

6’1″ 230 pounds

Last year, SirVocea Dennis had six tackles, four of which were solo, and a hurry against Tennessee football. He led Pitt in total tackles last year and was second in solo tackles. Add in his 10 tackles for a loss, which was good for third on the team, and he was the best all-around linebacker by far. That once again makes him a huge threat to the Vols.

Against WVU, Dennis was once again an effective star, finishing with a sack, a quarterback hurry and seven tackles, four of which were solo. With more experience, he’s even a bigger threat this year, and he could become an All-American superstar for the Panthers this year.

As a result, the Vols have to worry about him again. This didn’t show against the Ball State Cardinals, but Hendon Hooker’s tendency to hold onto the ball that existed last year could be a huge issue against Dennis. He could also snuff out the Vols’ attempts to establish the run early, key to Josh Heupel’s offense taking off.

As a result, Dennis is another playmaker on defense UT will have to keep an eye on at all times. He’s a major threat who can truly do it all, and he fits Pat Narduzzi’s defensive scheme perfectly. If the Vols don’t account for him, they’ll be in serious trouble early on.
