Defeated Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 42-0

After a slow start, Lane Kiffin finally has the Ole Miss Rebels rolling. Okay, so there is a lot to question about the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets this year, but they looked much better against their ACC foe on the road than Tennessee football looked against their ACC foe on the road, even if UT’s opponent was significantly better.

Anyway, Ole Miss now looks every bit like the dangerous team Kiffin took to a New Years Six bowl game a year ago. Their last two weeks have both been dominant, and they looked more dominant against a Power Five school than they did against the Central Arkansas Bears, an FCS school.

When you combine those facts with the fact that they struggled against the Troy Trojans to start the season, it looks like they have just been getting better each week. The only reason they aren’t higher is because their Power Five win is weaker than others on this list.

That won’t change this week, though, as they host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. However, their huge showdown is the next week, as they host Kentucky. If they win that, 7-0 becomes likely with a trip to Vanderbilt and a visit from Auburn up next, and 8-0 is on the table with a trip to LSU to follow that. Heck, 9-0 could be on the table with Texas A&M on the road after that.
