Defeated Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks 63-7

Again, these are based on what teams have done so far, not projections. Alabama has a road win over a Power Five foe, which puts them ahead of other teams, and that Power Five foe is undefeated outside of its game against them. It’s safe to say the Texas Longhorns look like a team that will truly be dangerous this year.

However, Alabama struggled more with them than other SEC teams up here struggled with their Power Five foes. Their Group of Five wins are also against bad teams. The Utah State Aggies, who they beat to open the season, just lost to the Weber State Wildcats. Ironically, their victim this past week, the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks, also lost to Texas.

Anyway, other teams have more quality Group of Five wins to this point as well. Still, Nick Saban’s team righted the ship last week and looks pretty dominant, so they are in good shape. However, their road schedule suggests they can’t so easily run the table like they have in the past.

Sure, the Tide will beat Vanderbilt this weekend. Then they travel to Arkansas, though, before hosting Texas A&M, who beat them last year, and visiting Tennessee football. They could win all three games running away, but one could be a slip-up too, so watch out.
