3. Joshua Dobbs

When we were mentioning all of those players who had elite performances for Tennessee football against Florida, Josh Dobbs was on that list. He’s the only one who is also on here. There’s a reason for that. Dobbs is still relevant, as he is the backup quarterback right now for the Cleveland Browns. An NFL player who beat Florida is a big deal.

Most importantly, though, Dobbs will be available. Cleveland plays the Pittsburgh Steelers Thursday night, so Dobbs doesn’t have to worry about being on the road when GameDay is in Knoxville. The same applies to Steelers cornerback Cameron Sutton, but Sutton missed that 2016 Florida game due to injury.

Now, with the Las Vegas Raiders visiting the Tennessee Titans, other NFL Vols could make a trip over to pick the game, including Titans long snapper Morgan Cox, Raiders fullback Jakob Johnson, or Raiders defensive linemen Kendal Vickers or Matthew Butler. Johnson and Vickers were both on that 2016 team that beat Florida.

However, Dobbs was the one who had the impact. He threw for 319 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 80 yards and another touchdown, averaging over 10 yards a pass attempt. It was a legendary performance, and with him in the NFL and available, he could definitely stop by.
