1. Dolly Parton

Nothing and nobody unites the state of Tennessee more than Dolly Parton. Everybody in every corner of the state appreciates her, and she’s one of the most entertaining celebrities alive. It doesn’t matter what views you have on anything else. As a result, it makes perfect sense for her to come onto ESPN’s College GameDay and represent the Volunteer State.

Seriously, of all the celebrity guest speakers over the years, who could have a harder flex than Tennessee football with Parton coming on? This woman is a legend, and she doesn’t appear to be aging. Parton is clearly connected to the Vols, as she wrote a heartfelt letter to John Ward when he said he was retiring as UT’s radio broadcaster back in 1998.

Combine that with her work to help make the COVID vaccine widely available in Tennessee and all the past charity work she’s done, and it’s easy to see why she is such a legend. We’re talking about somebody who is pretty much on Elvis Presley’s level at this point, and that’s saying something.
