12. Bill Dance

Who does it make more sense for College GameDay to appeal to? Taylor Swift will be there for the young fans, but Bill Dance is perfect for the longtime Tennessee football fans who have been connected to the state for decades. ESPN brings on a variety of celebrities for this event, so why not turn to him?

In case you don’t know, Dance is a famous fisherman who host a fishing TV series, “Bill Dance Outdoors,” on the Outdoor Channel. He also hosts Bill Dance Saltwater on the Sportsman Channel. Born and raised in Lynchburg, Tenn., the birthplace of UT legend Johnny Majors and also near where Phillip Fulmer is from, Dance is Tennessee through and through.

Known for wearing a Tennessee Volunteers baseball cap, Dance lives just outside of Memphis now and has been connected to Tennessee football since the Doug Dickey days. Honestly, it’s a bit shocking that he hasn’t yet been on to go on ESPN College GameDay to tout the Vols.

This is his best chance to do it. The move may not be the best for Vol fans trying to appeal to a younger audience, but as Jack Harlow showed, bringing in people to do that who can’t make picks looks even worse. Dance is a great ambassador for UT and the state, so bring him on.
