Stars of the week

Shy Tuttle – DT – New Orleans Saints

Sure, the Saints lost to the Bucs, but Shy Tuttle had his coming out party. He is joining the long tradition of undervalued Tennessee football stars who somehow find a place in New Orleans. Tuttle had an incredible nine tackles in the game, two of which were solo.

He also deflected a pass and got a hit on Tom Brady. This is exactly why New Orleans believed in him after he signed with them in 2019. Injuries held Tuttle back in college, but he appears to be doing fine now, and he could be in the perfect situation given what happened here.

Emmanuel Moseley – CB – San Francisco 49ers

Another undrafted free agent from Tennessee football, Emmanuel Moseley was a huge part of the San Francisco 49ers shutting down the Seattle Seahawks’ offense. He managed to start in that game and came away with three tackles and a pass deflection. Seattle didn’t even pick up 200 passing yards through the air despite Geno Smith going 24-of-30.

Darrell Taylor – DE – Seattle Seahawks

Although San Francisco got the win, it was because of their defense. Seattle’s defense wasn’t too shabby early. Thanks just broke open in the second quarter due to no offense. Still, Darrell Taylor had a bit of a breakout game. The second-year edge rusher came away with three tackles, all of which were solo, and two tackles for a loss.
