Tennessee football: Five key Vols to watch for vs. Florida

Anthony Richardson has already thrown four interceptions on the year. Cornerback wouldn’t seem to be a significant issue because of how ineffective Richardson has been from the pocket. However, part of that is due to the good job the cornerbacks for each of the first three games, and Tennessee football will need that same success.
Warren Burrell was banged up last game, and the Vols don’t have a No. 1 cornerback. However, Kamal Hadden has stood out as a playmaker at No. 2 cornerback, and making plays in the secondary is just as crucial as shutting down the receivers against Florida’s offense.
As a result, Hadden is the key cornerback here. He already has an interception on the season and should have had two. Aamaris Brown of USF and Keidron Smith of Kentucky are both corners who picked off Richardson, and Smith ran his back for a score.
Given the way Billy Napier has used Richardson’s arm more than his legs the past two games, it seems as if the Vols will have chances to pick him off too. That’s a crucial part of actually beating Florida, so Hadden has to come through. Burrell, Brandon Turnage and Christian Charles could all step up here as well, but Hadden is the best option.
