Although Tennessee football didn’t do us any favors last week, we didn’t need them. Like the Vols, who covered for the third straight week and let the game hit the over with their scoring, we wildly exceeded expectations. It made up for last week, and we’ve got plenty of money in the bank now.

Week 3 performance (68% on spread and over/under)

  • Spread: 10-3
  • Over/Under: 7-5-1
  • Moneyline: +32.6% ($424.15 profit if $100 bet on every game)

Overall performance for the year (60% on spread and over/under)

  • Spread: 27-15
  • Over/Under: 23-18-1
  • Moneyline: +12.7% ($469.92 profit if $100 bet on every game)

There’s a good bit of breathing room now for us, as we’ve turned a profit with our spread and over/under record along with the moneyline. Now, though, things are about to get intriguing. Four games involving all SEC teams along with a non-SEC game involving two top 25 teams are on the slate. With every SEC team playing, that gives us 11 games to pick.

College GameDay is heading to Rocky Top, as Tennessee football has a huge matchup, and the spreads are a lot more difficult this week than last week. Going in the order of which games are scheduled and finishing with the Vols, let’s dive in our Week 4 SEC and top 25 picks and bets.

The Tennessee football Volunteers and Florida Gators lead our Southeastern Conference and top 25 gambling predictions for Week 4 of 2022.

Gambling odds according to WynnBET

  • Line: Georgia -45.5
  • Over/Under: 62
  • Moneyline: Georgia -100000; Kent State +5000

It seems like the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs want to punish all of us again for a second straight regular season by just boringly blowing everybody out. We knew that’d be the case after they destroyed the Oregon Ducks in the opener, and the way they coasted by the South Carolina Gamecocks only added fuel to that.

This is not a team Tennessee football could potentially upset as people thought before the season started. Anyway, now they get another sure blowout against the Kent State Golden Flashes. After winning the MAC East last year, fifth-year head coach Sean Lewis’ team is off to a 1-2 start, but they have played two Power Five foes and just beat Long Island 63-10.

Prediction

Will Georgia go all out, or will they pull everybody like they did against the Samford Bulldogs? Well, the safest bet here is the under, as they’ll pull everybody and keep Kent State from scoring before the game hits 62 points. Let’s take Kent State to cover too, only because UGA will call off everybody early on.

Georgia: 42 Kent State: 0 (Kent State +45.5; Under 62)
