Things start off early for top 25 matchups Saturday. It’s a battle of undefeateds who both beat a Group of Five team by eight last week and are trying to prove they belong in their respective divisional races. Tennessee football’s former head coach vs. a key UT divisional foe is the story in this game from the Vols’ perspective.

The Ole Miss Rebels come in at no. 14 in the AP Poll and No. 11 in the Coaches Poll. They held off the Tulsa Golden Hurricane last week, winning 35-27, but their best win right now is a blowout at the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Given GT’s issues, that doesn’t look too great. Here is their best chance to prove they’re elite under Lane Kiffin.

Meanwhile, the Kentucky Wildcats’ only quality win is one of Tennessee football’s quality wins, against Florida. They beat the Gators on the road and are now No. 7 in the AP Poll and No. 8 in the Coaches Poll. A win Saturday could push them towards a rare top five rankings.

Prediction

Kentucky is more tested, and with Chris Rodriguez Jr. back, they should be a lot better than last week. Kiffin is down on Ole Miss fans leaving the game early, and he’s cost them their morale. As a result, not only will the Wildcats cover. They’ll win outright in an upset. Mark Stoops’ team will ground and pound, so the game hits the under too.

Kentucky: 27 Ole Miss: 21 (Kentucky +7; Under 54)
