Which Alabama Crimson Tide team shows up? Actually, which Arkansas Razorbacks team shows up? Although the team that wins this game may be obvious, that’s what makes this hard to figure out in terms of the spread. Also, Arkansas isn’t the easiest place to play.

Losing by a field goal to the Texas A&M Aggies was brutal for Sam Pittman’s team. The Hogs remain No. 20 in the AP Poll and No. 19 in the Coaches Poll, but that’s a game they needed to have to prove they have taken another step in Pittman’s second season. Winning this game, though, would help nullify that.

On the other side, Alabama seems to have refocused after almost losing at the Texas Longhorns. The Tide covered the past two weeks in blowout wins and remain No. 2 in both polls. Now they’ll look for their first top 25 win of the season, and with Texas losing again last week, they need to prove something.

Prediction

Alabama has been inconsistent the past two years with Bryce Young. Arkansas runs a cutting-edge offense opposite of Tennessee football, as it’s more about ball-control. Still, the lack of excitement in this game from Alabama’s side will be enough for the Hogs. They’ll give them a huge scare and force them to win ugly. Take Bama to win but Arkansas on the spread and the under.
