He was LSU’s biggest star heading into the year, and B.J. Ojulari has more than lived up to that hype so far. Ojulari leads the team in tackles for a loss with four and a half and sacks with three and a half. He also has a forced fumble and 14 tackles, 12 of which were solo. The edge rusher is destined to wreak havoc on Tennessee football Saturday.

Just like Jay Ward, Ojulari is showing up in big games more than any other time. In fact, he has recorded all of his stats against Power Five foes. Against FSU, he had six tackles, five of which were solo. Then he had two and a half tackles for a loss and one and a half sacks against Mississippi State along with four tackles, three of which were solo.

Last week, Ojulari put together his superstar performance, coming away with four solo tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. That forced fumble was a second-quarter strip-sack, the one Ward returned for a touchdown to spark LSU’s comeback after trailing 17-0 in this game.

Twice this year already, Ojulari has been named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week, just like Hendon Hooker has twice been named SEC Offensive Player of the Week. Both earned those respective titles in their most recent performances, and now they are set for a clash. Tennessee football must be ready for what Ojulari brings to the table.
